Can’t Buy Me Love (but you can get me that bag)! Stella McCartney turns 43 in style as she sits front row at husband’s fashion show with legendary dad Paul
While most of us spend our birthdays preparing to hit the town with friends, Stella McCartney celebrated turning a year older in much more stylish surroundings.
The acclaimed designer decided to mark her 43rd birthday on Saturday in the way she feels most comfortable – at a star-studded fashion show.
The flame-haired style icon took up a seat on the front row of the Hunter Spring/Summer 15 runway presentation during London Fashion Week.

But of course, no birthday is complete without being surrounded by your family – so it was a good job that Stella’s dad, Beatles legend Paul McCartney, was sat nearby.
In between the father and daughter was the rock icon’s wife, Nancy Shevell, while Stella had another fabled figure on her other side: Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
A glowing Stella defied her years as she enjoyed her birthday, wearing a long striped maroon and duck egg dress with a pair of platform sandals.
As well as her famous father, other chart-topping attendees included rocker Chrissie Hynde and pop star Rita Ora, who seemed to strike up a fast friendship with the former Fab Four member.

Saturday wasn’t only a big day for the birthday girl – it also marked Stella’s husband Alasdhair Willis’ second collection as creative director of the Hunter brand.

Stella looked on in pride as a series of yellow and green waterproof designs were strutted down the runway by both female and male models.
Speaking to Grazia about wanting to take the brand in a new direction earlier this year, Alasdhair explained: ‘I’ve restructured the architecture of the brand so Hunter Original is the start of a roll-out.
‘It’s for a younger customer and of course we know our history with festivals so it’s much more playful, fun and easy.
‘Hunter Field is launching in Spring Summer 2015 and that’s much more technical so takes care of our more traditional customer.’
