Tracy Morgan, who survived a horrible car crash that took the life of his friend, recently said to Barbara Walters that happiness is having someone or something to look forward to.

As a small example of that, I just watched the 1958 film of James Jones’ 1957 novel: “Some Came Running.”  You know when you see a film that leaves you at the end thinking:  “Wow!  If the movie was that good, then the book must be loads better?”

I’m now looking forward to reading the book, and that gives me what I think Tracy Morgan was talking about–some measure of happiness to keep me going until the next something or someone to look forward to.

Merry Christmas, and I wish you all continued happiness.
